From Recording to the Final Book – How It Works
Our life story books are unique. We help you tell the story, in your own words.
The heart of the book is taken from the recorded life story interview. We know exactly which questions to ask, how, and when. We know when to prompt and when to pause. Through our skills and experience, we know how to encourage our storytellers to share their thoughts, feelings, reflections, and even values alongside the memories and the stories.
After the interview, the recording is transcribed and then skilfully edited to retain our storyteller’s words, tone of voice, and mannerisms so that each life story book paints a true portrait of the teller.
We offer a totally bespoke service. We are always happy to incorporate existing pieces of writing, letters, etc as well as images, and family photos to add context. We create stunning life story books, so that our storytellers and their families can enjoy, share and feel pride in their own stories for years to come.

THE LIFE STORY BOOK PACKAGES
A two or four-hour audio interview. In two hours we will cover your most important stories and memories. In four hours we can explore your stories in greater depth and maybe include some family history.
The interview(s) are then transcribed and edited - according to your instructions. You then have the chance to read the first draft and send us any edits that you would like.
The next stage is for the book to be proofread, and designed with images (family photos, old and new, for example) incorporated to add context and interest.
Only when you are 100% happy with the book will we get it printed for you.

The original audio recording on a USB stick in a gift box.
